The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), hosted by Crowder College, provides free post-secondary educational assistance to adult residents of Barry, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, and Newton counties in southwest Missouri.100% Federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education at an annual cost of $284,745.
GED/HiSet & AEL Information
EOC staff will assist persons seeking information or admission to GED/HiSet/AEL classes in their area. GED/AEL classes are for those persons who are seeking to obtain their high school equivalency diploma. These centers are designed to prepare students to take and pass their General Education Development test (GED) of High School Equivalency test (HiSet). Class time is customized for each student to allow them to learn at their own pace. All classes are free of charge. A listing of area classes can be found at the Adult Education & Literacy site.
