TEAS Nursing Exam

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a standardized entrance exam for students applying to a nursing or allied health program. The exam tests over four different subject areas:  Reading, Mathematics, English and Language Usage, and Science. TEAS exams will be given at the following campus sites:  Cassville, McDonald County, Nevada, and Neosho.

BEFORE TESTING:

  • Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the exam start time. Students arriving late will not be allowed to take the TEAS exam.
  • There are 170 questions, plan on 4 hours maximum to complete your TEAS exam.
  • Examinees must bring to the testing center one current identification card printed in English bearing your photograph and a credit or debit card.
  • The cost of the exam is $70
  • No cell phones will be allowed in the testing area.
  • All other personal items will need to be left in the vehicle or at home. Crowder is not responsible for any items left in the vehicle.
  • Backpacks, bags, purses, wallets
  • Calculators, music devices, laptops, cameras, health/fitness trackers, or any electronic items
  • No hoodies
  • Smart watches, or noisy jewelry
  • Outerwear such as coats, sweaters, jackets, scarves, gloves, and hats will be placed at the front of the testing area or with the proctor.  
  • Food or drinks are not allowed in the testing area.
  • Students will not be allowed to take any personal belongings into the testing area.
  • Students will be allowed a break during the exam.

DURING TESTING:

  • The test proctor will provide scratch paper and a writing utensil.
  • No talking is allowed during the exam or while on break.
  • Students will lose their testing privileges in the testing center if they are found cheating on a test, and the incident will be reported to the Crowder College Academic Affairs office and to ATI testing.

AFTER TESTING:

  • Any scratch paper(s) used during the exam will be collected by test proctors for shredding.
  • Score reports are available immediately after.
