Graduation and Commencement
Crowder College Commencement is a ceremony intended to honor, recognize, and celebrate student achievement for those who have completed academic requirements toward graduation. Commencement is held during both fall and spring semesters.
We are pleased to announce that Crowder College will be hosting commencement ceremonies at Bob Sneller Gymnasium on our Neosho, Missouri, campus on:
- Thursday, December 12, 2024 | 2 pm Graduation Practice and Graduate Reception
Meet at 1:30pm in Farber Hall, Wright Conference Room on the Neosho campus. The practice and reception will begin promptly at 2:00 pm.
- Friday, December 13, Ceremony | 7:00 pm – Nursing Graduates Only
Meet at 6:00 pm in Farber Hall Lobby on the Crowder College Neosho campus dressed in your cap and gown. The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 pm in Bob Sneller Gymnasium.
- Saturday, December 14, Graduation Ceremony | 10:00 am – All Other Graduates – Meet at 9:00 am in Farber Hall Lobby on the Crowder College Neosho campus dressed in your cap and gown. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 am in Bob Sneller Gymnasium.
Commencement Regalia
The Crowder Bookstore will send an email with a link and deadline information to your student email account. Please follow the directions to order your cap and gown online before the deadline. After the deadline, please order at https://crowderbookstore.com/.
Student Regalia may include an honor cord and/or a graduation stole.
- Honor Cord: an honor cord is a twisted, colored cord with tassels on both ends. Wearing an honor cord signifies specific academic achievement or participation/membership in a College organization that has been approved for special recognition at commencement. As traditionally accepted, more than one honor cord may be worn at commencement.
- Graduation Stole: a stole is a decorative scarf-like sash which is worn to signify participation or completion in a College program that has been approved for special recognition at commencement. The sash may include an insignia or the color of the sash may be represented by the colors of the organization. As traditionally accepted, no more than one stole will be worn at commencement.
Organizations that wish to recognize individuals with either an honor cord or stole must obtain approval from the Vice President of Student Affairs.
Each student will be responsible for the cost of a cap and gown (regalia) and any cords or stoles unless otherwise noted.

Veterans
Veterans with a special cord to wear during commencement. Students who have provided a DD214 which reflects an honorable discharge and active duty (other than active-duty training) should come by the Student Affairs Financial Aid Office in Farber Hall on the Neosho campus and see Angela Aeillo to pick up your Veteran’s cord.
Objects of Cultural Significance
Graduates are welcome to wear traditional tribal regalia and other recognized objects of cultural significance during commencement. Graduates will be asked to remove any cords, stoles or other adornments before the ceremony if they are offensive or do not comply with the regalia policy. Please see the “Commencement Regalia” section of the current Student Handbook, located on our webpage, for more detailed information.
