Crowder College Foundation exists to cultivate donor and community gifts that provide scholarships, enhance the college experience and benefit Crowder College
In fall 2012, Crowder College began offering an Associate of Arts photography degree for those delving into this field as a career. There are several vocational options including photojournalism, fine arts, and commercial photography, which includes weddings, portraits, and product photography.
Crowder’s classes offer hands-on practice with cameras and other equipment, Adobe PhotoShop software, and a studio.
A digital single-lens reflex manual camera is required for Photo I and II. Students should also have a basic understanding of computer functions prior to enrolling.
Typically, Photo I is offered at the Neosho campus in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Photo II is offered at least once a year in Neosho. There’s a rotating schedule of courses offered at the Webb City, Cassville, and Nevada campuses.
