RE: Annual giving campaign to focus on Founder’s Week

Neosho, MO – Crowder College Foundation has announced its annual giving campaign featuring alum of all walks of life sharing the reasons why they give to the college, as well as current student perspective on the importance of scholarships.

“We believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of a student’s education,” stated Wade Williams,  Director of Institutional Advancement. “Our annual giving campaign directly supports the general scholarship fund, helping hundreds of students access the resources they need to succeed. With Crowder’s already affordable tuition and the support of scholarships, many of our students have the opportunity to graduate debt-free which is a life-changing advantage as they step into their futures.”

Donations may be made by visiting our website: www.crowder.edu and clicking the Foundation link at the top of the page.

Founder’s week marks the approval by voters of the school districts in Newton and McDonald counties on April 2, 1963. Each year, the college wants to celebrate and appreciate the confidence voters showed making Crowder College an educational opportunity for our region. Today, Founder’s day encourages those who have been impacted by Crowder College whether attending themselves or via family, friends or neighbors to see the progress the college has provided.

Crowder College is a two-year community college that provides educational opportunities to transfer to a university or enter the workforce. The college occupies the former Camp Crowder military base in Neosho, with instructional centers in McDonald County, Cassville, Joplin, Nevada, and Webb City.

The Crowder College Foundation exists to cultivate donor and community gifts that provide scholarships, enhance the college experience and benefit Crowder College. Formed in 1965 – the year the college’s first class graduated – the Foundation is a 501 (c3) not-for-profit that raises funds to enhance the student experience at Crowder through scholarships, program support, capital projects, and departmental grants.
