Joplin Renovation
Bringing skilled training opportunities to our region is what Crowder College does best! Since opening the Joplin facility, in partnership with the City of Joplin, and the Joplin Chamber Foundation, enrollment has increased over 700%. Students are able to earn certificates to enter the workforce in as little as one semester, or continue their education earning multiple certificates and ultimately a degree.
The expansion of course offerings in the Joplin area has continued to grow and has provided a need for more physical training space. The new location will provide approximately 84,000 square feet of state-of-the-art equipment and technology to continue to grow the workforce training in our region.
Since Crowder College began offering programs in Joplin in Fall 2017, more than 700 degrees and certificates have been awarded to students.
These certificates and degrees prepare students to enter the workforce with the skills needed to start a career in a variety of high demand jobs.
Many of the certificates may be completed in as little as one semester and are stackable to a degree. Classes are set where a working adult can progress to improve their job skills while supporting themselves and a family.
Students attended are very focused on entering the workforce upon completion, as well as gaining skills to become a supervisor or skill-up their profession.
Hands-on learning provides an excellent atmosphere for most learners and that is key when creating these programs.
