Neosho, MO – Crowder College Baseball won the Region 16 tournament this past weekend and will now host the South Central District tournament May 19-21, Lallemand Family Field, on the Neosho campus.
The three-team tournament will feature Region 16, 2, and 23 champions in NJCAA Division I Baseball: Region 16 – Crowder, currently ranked #4 in poll (5/15/2023)
Region 2 – Seminole State
Region 23 – Delgado, currently ranked #11 in poll (5/15/2023)
Games are scheduled as follows:
Friday, May 19
Game 1 – noon – Seminole State vs. Delgado
Game 2 – 3pm – Crowder vs. Delgado
Game 3 – 6pm Crowder vs. Seminole
This is a double elimination tournament.
Saturday, May 20
Game 4 – 3pm – 1-1 team vs. 2-0 team
If the 2-0 team wins, they are the champions and will continue to the NJCAA Division I JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, CO. If the teams are all 1-1 following the 1st day, a coin flip will determine the bye to Day 3.
Sunday, May 21
Game 5 – noon (if both teams are 2-1)
Game 5 – Winner of Game 4 vs. team that earned the bye in the coin flip
