Crowder Baseball to Start Region 16 Tournament Play
Neosho, MO – The Crowder College Baseball team advanced to the Region 16 Tournament which begins Thursday, May 10, at Joe Becker field in Joplin, MO.
The Roughriders earned the number one seed and will take on number four seed, State Fair at 4pm. A win will put them in the semifinals on Friday, May 11, 3pm.
The tournament is a double-elimination tournament with the winner advancing to the South Central District which includes region winners from Oklahoma and Louisiana. This year the Region 2 Champion (Oklahoma) will host the district tournament.
The Roughriders (44-13) are currently ranked number twelve in the country as they have been in the top twenty all season.
KNEO 91.7 FM in Neosho, MO will be broadcasting all the Crowder College baseball games during the Region 16 Tournament from Joe Becker Stadium in Joplin, MO. Adam Winkler and Ben Wolcott of KNEO will be providing the play-by-play for each broadcast.
