Crowder College Theatre Production of The Princess Plays

Neosho, MO – The Crowder College Theatre Department will present The Princess Plays, written by Colleen Neuman & Kim Esop Wylie, Saturday, April 28, 10am and 2pm, in the Elsie Plaster Community Center on the Neosho campus.

The production is directed by Monty Pugh-Towe. Pugh-Towe, in his directing debut, is one of five directors for the 2017-18 season. Cast members and crew for the production, made up of students and community members, are as follows:

Lauren Adams, Tate Angel, Brooke Ballard, Caitlyn Barker, Kenzie Beard, James Compton, Katelyn Conway, Chris Doyle, Jacob Esterline, Austin Fogg, Nefertiti Gauntey, Sydney Hays, Sam Hoover, Greyson Lamp, Rylan Lett, Amy Leyva, Brandon McQueen, De’Airra Pel, Harlee Rhamy, Kinzey Sapp, Ashley Spear, Caleb Stephens, Sarah Swayne, Destinee Winningham, and Ty Loudan-Wiese.

The Princess Plays are two charming plays from the author of the immensely popular Lion and Mouse Stories. They include: The Princess and The Princess is about Popplepea, a poor, polite princess, and Twinkleberry, a rich, rude princess. They meet on a narrow mountain path, and neither will step aside to let the other one pass. Will a riddle provided by the Royal Wise Person prove who is the real princess? The Lost Half-Hour is about Bobo, a simple fellow who cheerfully endures teasing at the hands of his “friends” who send him on a quest to find a lost half-hour, naturally assuming that he will fail. Bobo takes his quest seriously and amazes everyone when he returns with several lost items.

Tickets are available at the door: $5-Adults; $3-Children, Free-Campus Residents. The production is rated G. The run time is 60 minutes.
