The Crowder College Roughrider Baseball team will host an Austism Awareness game Saturday, April 8, prior to the game starting at 1pm at Roughrider field on the Neosho campus.
The children will take the field at approximately 12:50pm with the team as Maddox Hill, namesake of the Behavior Support Center, will toss the first pitch. Students and their families from the Maddox Hill Behavior Support Center at Crowder College are invited to attend free of charge.
The baseball team will wear special jerseys in honor of autism awareness month. Coach Lallemand wanted to do something to recognize autism awareness month and hopes to make this an annual event. Employees of the Maddox Hill Center will be on hand to assist their students and families as they take the field.
Admission collected at the gate will be donated to the Maddox Hill Center from the baseball program. Concessions will be available at the game for purchase.
