Neosho, MO – Crowder College Roughrider softball team earned the Region 16 championship and will now host the Midwest District tournament May 13-14, 2023, on the Neosho campus. Game times are 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, and noon on Sunday, if needed. Admission to the district tournament is $5 for anyone ages 8 and up.
The Roughriders will play Region 11 champions Indian Hills in a best 2 of 3 series with the winner advancing to the national tournament. This year’s national tournament will be held at Choccolocco Park, Oxford, AL, May 23-27, 2023.
The Roughriders had nine players named to the All-Region 16 team:

Chelsea Beville (Pitcher)
Laynee Tapp (Infield)
2nd team honors:
Aidan Dayberry (Pitcher)
Carlee Durham (Outfield)
Calee Gregory (Infield)
Trenity Miller (Utility)
Mazzi Jones (Outfield)
Coach Josh Barnes was also named Region 16 Coach of the Year in his inaugural season.
The Roughriders finished the regular season 40-14, while going 4-0 in the Region 16 tournament.
