Neosho, MO – Crowder College Foundation 19th annual Festival of Wreaths takes place Tuesday, November 9th. The event begins at 4:30 pm with a silent auction in Longwell Museum located inside the Elsie Plaster Community Center on the Neosho campus. A live auction will begin at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Last year’s event raised over $91,000 for scholarships & program support.
Festival of Wreaths began as a live auction of 30-40 holiday wreaths and swags. Now in its 19th year, the event has grown into an electronically integrated silent auction of 400 -500 items as well as a live auction of 30 plus items. While holiday wreaths and décor will always be a mainstay of Festival of Wreaths, auction merchandise at the event includes everything from gift baskets and apparel to trips, electronics, and household items. Guests will see items that range in value from $10 to several thousand dollars and everything in between.
Changes that will continue to be implemented this year as a result of the pandemic include in-person and online bidding on silent auction items as in past years. Guests are encouraged to pre-register online: bidpal.net/fow2021 or text FOW to 243725. Masks will be provided upon request.
Check-out may be done via mobile device without waiting in line and arrangements may be made to pick-up items between 9am-4pm, November 10-11. Delivery of merchandise to home or office may also be arranged.
Raffle tickets for “The Golden Ticket” are being sold now and will be drawn on Tuesday, November 9 during the live auction at Festival of Wreaths. Only 100 tickets are being sold for $100 each with the winner choosing from four exclusive travel packages valued at $1495 & up or 12 bottles of exquisite Tuscany wine delivered straight to your door. Another raffle is the Winner’s Choice sponsored by Newton County Abstract & Title. The winner of the ticket drawn will have the option of selecting one of three prizes: Apple Watch Series 6 with GPS connectivity, portable generator, or two 2022 Gold-Silver Dollar City passes. Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five. Tickets for both raffles may be purchased on the auction website or at the event. The winner of either raffle does not need to be present to win.
Notable auction items this year include a 6-piece king bedroom set, firepit set with 4 chairs, a private showing at Neosho B&B Theatre, 2 one-night stay packages in a glamping pod with a one-day canoe rental at River Ranch Resort, side of beef, Blackstone 4 burner griddle, Farm to Table wine pairing event, Simpson pressure washer, and Queen mattress & adjustable platform.
This year, the live auction will be live streamed for those unable to attend. Bidding on live auction items may be done via proxy bid. Proxy bid must be established by noon on Monday, Nov. 8, by calling 417.455.5646 for more information.
