Neosho, MO – The Crowder College Women’s Basketball team will begin their season at home on Tuesday, November 2, 6pm.
This year’s roster features eight returning players and five freshmen. The 20-21 shortened season ended with a 10-13 record, 7-8 in Region 16 play. The Roughriders lost in the Region 16 semifinals to Moberly.
Returning players for Crowder are: Lanae Johnson-Kleinpeter, Amya Bahler, Mary Dunbar, Ashley Vaught, Jaelin Glass (missed most of the season with an ACL injury) and Payge Dahmer, Nathalia Silva, and Emanuela Almeida, with the latter two missing last season due to the COVID travel ban.
“It’s been a rough fall for us with lots of injuries, but we are excited to get back to our normal season this year,” stated Coach Tina Wilson. “Region 16 will be tough as usual with Moberly and Three Rivers both coming off of a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament last year in which Three Rivers took third place. Right now, we are looking forward to getting everyone healthy and getting ourselves ready for Region 16 play, which starts in mid-November”.
The season currently has the Roughriders playing 30 games before entering the first round of Region 16 tournament.
Games are played in Bob Sneller Gymnasium, Crowder College, 601 Laclede Ave, Neosho. Admission is $5 for adults. $2 for school age kids. Students are admitted free with Crowder ID.
