RE: eSports showcase with Neosho High School team
Neosho, MO – Crowder College eSports program will be hosting their first live match on Wednesday, May 5, 4:30pm, against the Neosho High School eSports team. They will be playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate, a game currently on the eSports roster. The game series will be held in Elsie Plaster Auditorium on the Crowder College campus in Neosho.
“I think this is an exciting opportunity for our students to showcase the hard work they have been putting in over the last three seasons. Several of my students that have been there since the beginning are graduating this semester, so it’s nice to be able to have an event like this to celebrate their success,” stated Jackson Lewis, Crowder College eSports manager. “If you have never had the chance to watch an eSports match in-person, this will be a great opportunity to come see what all the hype is about!”
Featured students are:
John Karako (Currently in his 3rd season of playing Smash Bros for Crowder)
Tyler Carpenter (Currently in his 3rd season of playing Smash Bros for Crowder)
Dennis (Ethan) Harp (Currently in his 2nd season of playing Smash Bros for Crowder)
Logan Downey (Recently finished his debut season as a playoffs qualifier)
Melissa Hurtado (Returning as a featured alumni for this match. She graduated from Crowder Fall 2020 after 2 seasons as a playoffs qualifier)
Lewis will be providing commentary during the event, so everyone gets a full experience. This event is free and open to the public.
Refreshments and door prizes will be provided.
