Neosho, MO – The Crowder College Roughrider Softball team had nine players earn Region 16 honors as well as tournament team honors. The Roughriders claimed the Region 16 championship advancing to the District J tournament to play Indian Hills for a ticket to the national tournament in St. George, UT. The team finished the season 54-5 and ranked #9 in NJCAA Division I Softball. Two of the five losses were to Indian Hills in the District J Championship.
Pitcher, Maddy Prough (Bentonville, AR) was named Region 16 player of the year. Prough had 29 appearances on the year with a .99 ERA.
Region 16 honors were earned as follows:
1st team
- Payton Wildeman (Bentonville, AR); Outfield
- Lexi Lowrance (Kearney, MO); Infield
- Prough and Bailey Buffington (Bauxite, AR); Pitcher
- Baylor Miles (Van Buren, AR); Catcher
- Lexi McClellan (Ozark, AR); Utility
2nd team
- Kenzie Kallio (Oologah, OK) and Kristen Wade (Vilonia, AR); Infield
- Aspen Younce (Pleasant Hille, MO); Pitcher
All-Tournament team honors went to:
- Buffington, Shelby Chavers (Bauxite, AR), Dia Jackson (Vian, OK), McClellan, Prough, Marissa Smith (Haskell, OK), and Wildeman
