Missouri Community College Scholarship to MSU for Fall 2019
Each spring Missouri State University offers a Missouri Community College Scholarship for two transfer students from each public community college in the state based on the recommendation of the college’s president. In order for Crowder College President, Dr. Glenn Coltharp, to select the two students to recommend, we solicit applications, and the form is now available on the Crowder website under Announcements or contact the Crowder College President’s Office (MarthaNimmo@Crowder.edu or 417-455-5534).
MSU Transfer Scholarship Application must be typed, completed, signed and returned to the President’s Office by midnight, Sunday, March 31. Applications may be dropped off in the President’s Office at Newton Hall room 150, emailed to MarthaNimmo@Crowder.edu with a scanned or typed signature, or mailed to the President’s Office, 601 Laclede Avenue, Neosho, MO 64850.
Recipients will be selected by the President upon recommendation of a Scholarship Committee based on criteria including academic achievement at Crowder, academic promise, citizenship, co-curricular activity, and the potential to be an outstanding student at MSU. To be eligible, students must have completed at least 45 transferable Crowder credit hours (Crowder’s criteria) prior to their first semester at MSU with preference given to Crowder graduates. Students must also be in good academic standing at Crowder with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 (Crowder’s criteria), and have applied for admission to MSU.
Recipients will be notified of their selection by letter to the address on their application in early April, and we will notify the MSU Financial Aid office of the two students we recommend prior to their May 1 deadline.
According to MSU, this scholarship is only available to first-time students entering in the fall semester, not in the spring. However, they are available to students completing their degree at any Crowder instructional center.
This Scholarship is valued at $2,000 per academic year and is renewable for one additional year if the recipient completes 27 hours the first year and achieves a cumulative MSU grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
Other transfer scholarships are also available at MSU. For details, check their website at http://www.missouristate.edu/ or on the Neosho campus you may want to contact the following individuals:
