Bill and Margot Lee Library Online Public Access Catalog
The Bill and Margot Lee Library is located in The Arnold Farber Building. The online public access catalog provides access to library resources including books and audiovisual programs. Crowder College is a member of the Missouri Bibliographic Users Information System (MOBIUS). This is a consortium that links Missouri’s academic libraries to provide electronic databases to students, faculty, and staff in member institutions. There are eleven clusters of libraries that share the automated library systems. Crowder College is part of the SouthWest Academic Network (SWAN).
To access the SWAN library catalog, go to the Crowder College library home page and click on SWAN library catalog. To locate resources, the catalog can be searched by author, title, subject, keyword, or Dewey Decimal call numbers. It provides links to search Crowder College resources only, the SWAN catalog that includes all libraries in the cluster, or the MOBIUS catalog which includes all Missouri libraries in the consortium.
Periodical Research Databases
Lee Library research databases provide access to articles on topics in periodicals (magazines, journals, newspapers). Many of the databases will provide full text articles along with the bibliographic citation information (author, article title, magazine or journal title, volume and issue numbers, date of issue, page numbers). When the full text is not available, an abstract or summary of the article helps the user determine whether to request the article by interlibrary loan. The interlibrary loan service ensures that the user will have access to the article when it is not available online via the research database or the source is not available in the library’s periodicals collection.
To access the
research databases, go to the Crowder College library home page and
click on Research
Databases. This will provide a list of available databases to
support library research.
