Full-time Positions

Library Specialist, Bill and Margot Lee Library on the Neosho campus, approximately 25 hours per week.  Must have an associate degree or equivalent, two years of library experience, knowledge of computer software applications, and knowledge of library classification system and research procedures. Duties include management of circulation and interlibrary loan functions, supervision of library student assistants, and providing general library and computer assistance to students and staff. Nursing Program Coordinator/Instructor for Crowder College Associate Degree in Nursing Program at Cassville, Mo. Requires Master’s in Nursing, current license to practice in Mo., and two years of experience within the last five years. Teaching experience preferred. Salary Range $40,000 - $49,000, depending on education, experience, and length of contract. This is a ten-month position, or possibly eleven months this initial year, with full benefits including insurance, retirement, sick leave and holidays. Para Professional for Vocational Preparation program at Crowder College Technical Education Center. Full-time ten-month position, $9.74 per hour, with full benefits, starting August 2009. Responsible for assisting instructor in teaching exploratory level skills for various vocational areas to disadvantaged and handicapped high school students. Requires high school diploma/GED, 60 college hours required and/or associate’s degree preferred; related experience in dealing with students (teaching or tutoring preferred), and/or willingness to obtain training. Administrative Assistant, Dean of Student Services. Full-time clerical support and office administration for Dean and the Student Services Department. Will assist in processing of student applications and registration. Requires excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn and use student database system; at least a year of related work experience; excellent organizational abilities; very effective communication/customer service skills; and ability to handle confidential material. Crowder College and the Missouri Alternative and Renewable Energy Technology Center (MARET) are expanding the Alternative Energy Department. The construction of the new MARET Center will begin in the summer of 2009. We are looking for innovative individuals who want to be part of a program that has over 25 years of history in Alternative Energy Education and is continuing to grow and flourish. The following positions are now open. These are all full-time nine-month faculty positions starting Fall 2009

Wind Instructor for Crowder College MARET Center.The position consists of teaching wind technology courses, electronics, introductory hydraulics, and PLC courses. The instructor will provide assistance in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the wind program, course curriculum and materials; recruitment and job
placement of students, and the annual E-Conference. The position will be a 15 credit hour position per semester, either online, in the classroom, lab, or in non-classroom services.

Construction Technology/Advanced Manufacturing Instructional Specialist:  Provide Instruction and development services in above areas following National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum and certification guidelines. Must have or qualify to obtain NCCER certification and Missouri Technical Education Teacher Certification. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction or advanced manufacturing preferred; minimum of associate’s and/or three years of directly applicable experience. Water Wastewater Instructor/Coordinator for Crowder College, full-time position starting July 1. The Coordinator/Instructor has primary responsibility for oversight of the Water Wastewater Programs, including recruitment, instruction, supervision, guidance and evaluation of staff and students in classroom and laboratory settings. Will instruct on-campus students in the operation and maintenance of water and/or wastewater treatment processes in order to improve efficiency and meet regulatory requirements and ultimately obtain state certification to gain employment within the water treatment industry. Will instruct off-campus courses of varied topics throughout the state in order for licensed personnel to obtain DNR required certification renewal. Requires minimum of five years occupational experience directly related to water or wastewater treatment operations; teaching experience preferred. Prefer current possession of an A water and/or an A wastewater treatment certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Salary Range: $41,533 - $50,679, commensurate with education and experience, with excellent fringe benefits. Associate Dean of Extended Campuses and Economic Development, Crowder College. Responsible for leadership for customized business/industry training, instructional technology and on-line education, continuing education, the Environmental Resource Center (water and wastewater training), the University Center ((on-campus options for continuing education beyond the Associate Degree level through cooperative arrangements with other colleges/universities), and the  four off-campus centers. Support and assist with the MARET (Missouri Alternative and Renewable Energy Technology) Center initiatives. Requires a master’s or higher degree; at least five years of progressive administrative experience; excellent leadership and management skills as demonstrated through prior relevant work experience; excellent communication skills; and evidence of positive working relationships. Part-time Positions

Part-time AEL (Adult Education and Literacy) and ESL (English as a Second Language) instructors needed for Crowder College at the following places/times. Pay is $13.20 per hour (with a Bachelor’s degree) or $13.40 (with a Master’s degree).  Requires bachelor’s degree, ability to complete Adult Education and Literacy Certification, and passing a background check. Teaching experience preferred. Bilingual ability preferred for English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Positions start in August.
