PICNIC takes place on Labor Day Weekend in the joint back yards of two middle-aged widows. The one house belongs to Flo Owens, who lives there with her two maturing daughters, Madge and Millie, and a boarder who is a spinster school teacher. The other house belongs to Helen Potts, who lives with her elderly and invalid mother. Into this female atmosphere comes a young man named Hal Carter, whose animal vitality seriously upsets the entire group. Madge, bored with being only a beauty, sacrifices her chances for a wealthy marriage for the excitement Hal promises. Winner of the 1953 Pulitzer Prize and the Critics Circle Award. |

Conceived and originally
directed by John-Michael Tebelak, with music and new lyrics by Stephen
Schwartz, “Godspell” is one of the biggest off-Broadway and
Broadway successes of all time. Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew,
and featuring a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz, “Godspell”
boasts a string of well-loved songs, led by the international hit, “Day
By Day.” As the cast performs “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord,”
“Learn Your Lessons Well,” “All For The Best,”
“All Good Gifts,” “Turn Back, O Man” and “By
My Side,” the parables of Jesus Christ come humanly and hearteningly
to life. Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning,
pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, “Godspell”
is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a
message of kindness, tolerance and love. |

This classic comedy opens as a group of the guys assembled for cards in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. Late to arrive is Felix Unger who has just been separated from his wife. Since he is very fastidious and none too tense, they fear he might commit suicide and go about locking all the windows. When Felix arrives, he is scarcely allowed to go to the bathroom alone. As the action unfolds, the clean-freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as The Odd Couple is born. "His skill is not only great but constantly growing.... There is scarcely a moment that is not hilarious."-N.Y. Times. "A socko comedy success."-N.Y. Journal American. "Fresh, richly hilarious and remarkably original. Wildly, irresistibly, incredibly and continuously funny."-N.Y. Daily News. |

Robin Hood, the outlaw of Sherwood Forest, leads a merry life with his followers. Anyone who is hungry or who has no place to live is welcome in the greenwood. The citizens of the forest oppose wicked Prince John. He's taken the place of King Richard the Lion-Hearted, who has gone to the Holy Land on a crusade. One day a caravan cuts through the wood. In the convoy is Robin's childhood sweetheart, Maid Marian, ward of King Richard. Alas, Marian is forced to marry the Prince in an effort to make John more acceptable to the people of England. To arms! It's up to Robin to stop the marriage, defeat a nasty sheriff and secure Nottingham for the King's return. It's all done in rousing fashion! The show is suitable for all groups. |
