Secondary Education

The Teacher Education Program at Crowder College prepares the student to enter a rewarding career in education. The program prepares the student to transfer to a four-year institution to complete the requirements for a teaching certificate in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School, or Secondary. The program also prepares paraprofessionals who wish to meet the standard of “highly qualified” as outlined in the new federal law known as “No Child Left Behind.”

Two additional requirements for an Associate Degree in Education are to complete a professional portfolio and pass all 5 sections of the C-BASE.
