The Evening Custodian provides custodial services to college facilities, including but not limited to the “Essential Job Duties” listed below.

Essential Job Duties

  • Keep assigned areas clean and orderly including classrooms, restrooms, offices, stairwells, halls, lecture halls, etc.
  • Maintain restrooms in clean, sanitary and fully stocked condition.
  • Maintain all types of floors and walls with proper equipment and chemicals.
  • Dust, wash, and polish furniture and woodwork.
  • Vacuum and/or clean carpets using the steam cleaning, dry foam, or shampoo methods of cleaning.
  • Empty and clean waste receptacles.
  • Wash walls and windows as needed.
  • Clean drinking fountains
  • Polish metal work.

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for assisting the Accounts Payable Department in all areas as needed. The position maintains the inventory records for the college; creates purchase orders; prepares, verifies and processes payments/reimbursements; and maintains filing system.

Job Description

Assist with the coaching of the Women’s Softball team with primary duties of instruction in the rules, regulations, techniques, and team concepts of the sport, specific position instruction, game day coaching and instruction, practice planning and execution both during on- and off-season. Job Description

The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Director with implementing the activities that support the objectives of the project and recruits, hires, trains and supervises tutors and Saturday School and Summer Component Instructors. The Assistant Director works cooperatively with the UB program’s staff and other TRIO Directors and staff.  The Assistant Director maintains close working relationships with target school personnel (teachers, counselors, and administrators), parents, and college staff/faculty. The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of the program curriculum for the Summer Component and Saturday Schools. The Assistant Director is directly supervised by the Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math/Science Director.  The position is federally-funded and contingent upon continued grant funding.  Start date of this position is negotiable.

Job Description

As program director, this position is responsible for all aspects of the Cardiac Sonography program, including the budget, faculty hiring decisions, maintaining accreditation, providing subject matter expertise, curriculum development, instruction, and program evaluation to determine the effectiveness of education. Course delivery may include both face-to-face and online modalities. The Program Director is a full-time faculty member and reports to the Director of Allied Health.

Part-time Positions

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Instructor with experience in the building trades to join our (AEL) Instructor in the GED Test Preparation classroom. The ideal candidate will work with the (AEL) instructor to develop and deliver lessons that prepare students for the GED exam and integrate real-world applications from the building trades. This position is part of a Youth Build Project serving students 16-24 years of age who do not have a high school diploma or equivalent. The project collaborates with Adult Education and Literacy (AEL), the Joplin Job Center.  The AEL portion will include two instructors: A certified AEL instructor and a building trades instructor, who will teach the academic skills with the building trades usage of those academic skills. The classroom hours of instruction for this position will be held at the Joplin Job Center over two to three days, depending on the student’s needs.  The approach will help students connect academic concepts with practical skills, enhancing their HSE test and vocational readiness skills.

The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, has a strong background in the building trades, and is excited about shaping our students’ future by combining academic knowledge with practical trade skills.  This position has been funded for two years and is contingent on the continuation of the YouthBuild grant.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalency is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the building trades (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, construction management) is required.
  • Ability to obtain a DESE Substitute Certification (AEL will pay for the online training)
  • Ability to collaborate with the building trades trainers who are doing the hands-on training so the in-class GED preparation and hands-on training coordinate.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in ways that are accessible to students with diverse learning styles.

Theatre Department

The Crowder College Theatre Department is seeking adjunct instructors. Applicants must possess a minimum of eighteen graduate hours or a Master’s Degree or higher in the field of theatre. Adjunct instructors may be asked to teach courses such as Theatre Appreciation, Acting I, Stage Craft or other topic specific classes. Compensation for this position is $525 per credit hour.
