Full-time Positions

Crowder College Student Support Services (SSS) Program Directors at the Nevada and Cassville Campuses. SSS is a federally funded grant program serving disadvantaged students. The Director is responsible for meeting all SSS program objectives, and developing activities, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with program guidelines.  The Director is responsible for personnel, budgets, records and reports, as well as relationships with other college staff, students, and administration.

To qualify, a candidate must have a master’s degree in education, counseling or closely related field; demonstrated ability to manage budgets; excellent communication skills; and experience working with students and/or disadvantaged populations. Three years of experience in managing and operating programs for disadvantaged students preferred, as well as experience in career development, financial aid, academic advising and/or assessment. Part-time Positions

EMT Instructor for Crowder College, Nevada Campus, Spring semester, to teach nine credit hours. The class meets three days/week for a total of 11 hours/week. The schedule is somewhat flexible, with exact days/times to be determined. Two class sessions are four hours/week; one class session (the lab session) is three hours/week. Instructor must be:
*Currently licensed or Certified Paramedic with a minimum of 3 years work experience.
*Currently licensed as an AHA BLS Instructor
*Currently ACLS, BTLS/PHTLS, PALS certified
*EMS Instructor Certified
The successful applicant will have excellent references and be a self-starter. Must have experience in performing all EMT skills (all levels) with experience in an educational setting or in patient teaching preferred. Must also have excellent communication skills, both oral and written; interpersonal skills; and organizational skills. English Language Institute Instructor needed at Crowder's Neosho campus for a 2nd eight weeks intensive language program, beginning October 18. The instructor will teach English Language Institute classes for persons whose first language is not English. The classes will be held from 6:30 P.M. until 9:15 P.M. Monday through Thursday from October 18th through December 17th. This is a temporary, half-time teaching position with salary depending on education and experience. Requires high school diploma/GED and at least one year of related work experience, computer literacy, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Clinical instructor for Crowder College Nursing Program in Cassville, for one 12 hour shift per week at $30/hr, for 8 weeks, starting October 22. Survey of Chemistry instructor needed for evening class during the spring semester of 2011.  The class will meet two evenings per week on the Neosho campus. It is a five credit hour class, paying $2,500. Requires a Master’s in Chemistry or a closely related field. Teaching experience a plus, and knowledge of Blackboard helpful.
