THE SHORT STUFF
Learn how to
break into the magazine market with fillers, anecdotes, editorials,

more. Discussion will include market research, queries v. direct submissions,
turning short works into longer pieces and writers’ resources.

INTRODUCTION TO TRAVEL WRITING
Travel writing
is fun and easy! This class will include insight on the types of travel
writing that sell, how to submit your work to magazines and newspapers,
where to find open markets and resources for travel writers. Also discussed:
how to sell photographs with your articles, step-by-step from idea to
paycheck, using query letters, resale’s and more.
